Letters: Letter: Traveling to Tucson
To the Editor: The article “36 Hours Tucson, Ariz.” (Jan. 3) gave lots of excellent suggestions about my city. I was surprised, though, that the author recommended flying to Phoenix and driving “scenic I-10” to Tucson. This is one of the most unattractive and crowded roads in Arizona, and it can be closed for hours by traffic accidents (once you leave Phoenix, there’s no alternate route). Anyone who wants to come to Tucson for just 36 hours — and spend four (or many more) hours on I-10 — should instead take a flight to our convenient, uncrowded airport.
